Paul Becker, Master of Arts, born in Russia, grew up in Niederalteich / Bavaria, initially received guitar lessons from Dieter Witzke (D), Augustin Wiedemann (D) and Takeo Sato (D). He completed his master’s degree at the Mozarteum Music University in Salzburg with Isabel Siewers de Pazur (ARG) and Robert Wolf (A). Paul Becker also attended master classes with Eliot Fisk, Anna Vidovic, Pavel Steidl, Odair Assad, Leo Brouwer, Alvaro Piere and others.
Paul Becker gave concerts with Ruth Jana Braunsteffer (Duo Brokenstrings) in large parts of Europe. Together with Ruth Jana he was involved in a DVD recording for the Bregenz Festival (André Chenier, 2011/2012) with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. A concert tour with a guitar orchestra took Paul Becker through Germany, Switzerland and France; a CD production followed. Paul Becker is the duo partner of the band „Sapperlotta“ whose debut CD with music of various styles was recently released. Paul has lived in Bregenz since 2012, where he teaches at the municipal music school.
