Ruth Jana Braunsteffer

Ruth Jana Braunsteffer, Master of Arts, born 1985 in Munich, studied guitar and instrumental pedagogy at the Vorarlberg State Conservatory and at the Mozarteum Music University in Salzburg and graduated with honors.

She received pioneering artistic impulses from Petr Paulu (CZ), Walter Abt (D), Georg Gaupp-Berghausen (A), Isabel Siewers de Pazur (ARG) and Augustin Wiedemann (D). She also attended master classes by Anna Vidovic, Odair and Sergio Assad, Pavel Steidl, Damián Cazeneuve, Paolo Bellinati and Hakim Ludin. She has won multiple prizes at regional, state and federal level at „Jugend musiziert“.

Ruth Jana has performed as a soloist with the key Sinfonietta Hohenems, the Goldacher
Orchesterverein, the Karl Handlos Rinchnach orchestra and together with Paul Becker made the sound recording for the Bregenz Festival (Andre Chenier, 2011/2012) with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, which is on DVD the production can be heard.

Ruth Jana teaches guitar at the music schools in Feldkirch and Bregenz and directs the guitar orchestra there. Since 2020 she has been the group leader in the guitar department for the state of Vorarlberg.
