Carlos Peralta was born in Arequipa / Peru in 1986. As a child, Carlos experienced Latin American music in all ist stylistic diversity in his family. As a teenager he came to Turin / Italy, where he began studying classical music and then continued with Georg Gaupp-Berghausen at the Vorarlberg State Conservatory. After completing his studies in Feldkirch, Carlos Peralta continued his training in Seville/ Spain. Francisco Bernier provided him with formative artistic impulses.
Funded by a scholarship from the Spanish A.I.E. (Artistas Intérpretes o Ejecutantes) he discovered his passion for flamenco music: Niño de Pura, Pedro Sierra and Paco Cortez were his outstanding teachers. In 2015 he presented his own compositions at the guitar festival „Flamenco y Fusion“ in Lima / Peru. Carlos Peralta combines traditional forms with contemporary interpretations.
Carlos Peralta has been teaching at the Feldkirch Music School since 2016 and appears in various chamber music ensembles from classical to flamenco.
